While I was living in London, I started illustrating some recipes and posted them on a recipe blog.

This is the first recipe I drew. All the illustrations are drawn with a Wacom pen and tablet and later edited in Photoshop. They all perfectly fit iPad because I often check my recipes on the tablet in the kitchen.

This was my staple dish in London since I was saving money and tried to make great tasting dishes with cheapest ingredients.

At this time, a can of sardines in Sainsbury's cost only 60p. Other "poor Irena"'s favourite ingredient was chicken liver (99p per package).

I still make this soup during cold season. It really makes a difference to roast the pumpkin first, since the "umami" increases than just boiling it.

Nowadays I use a hand blender and blend it while it is in the pan.
